This webinar is geared towards parents representation attorneys in dependency proceedings on effectively engaging incarcerated parents in dependency court proceedings through meaningfully accessing their children, case planning, discharge or release planning, and concurrent permanent planning. 

The presentation will also include:

  • An overview of relevant statutes, court rules, case law and DOC policies impacting access for incarcerated parents to visitation, court access, and other legal parties
  • Practice points and strategies for rigorously defending incarcerated parents through litigating due process protections, successful dispositional negotiations, and the use of experts to establish SHB 1284 protections in the dependency action.  
The webinar will take place on September 15, 2017 between 12:15 PM and 1:15 PM, for 1.0 Law and Legal Procedure Credit. This webinar is open to WDA Members and approved Parents Representation Attorneys. To register, click here.
