Asotin County Seeks Three Defense Attorneys for Indigent Defense Contracts

Asotin County Superior Court is currently accepting proposals for three defense attorneys for the Indigent Defense contract. These attorneys will represent clients in felony, child support, and juvenile court cases, including truancy matters. Rate will be applicable to caseload up to a maximum of $73,622.52 dependent on negotiated caseload levels.

 

Any attorney interested in contracting with the County for indigent defense services should request a copy of the Request For Qualifications and send a proposal, a resume and Certification of Appointed Counsel regarding Criminal Rule Standards to the Asotin County Commissioners’ Office, P.O. Box 250, Asotin, WA 99402 or email at bocc@co.asotin.wa.us. The Board may begin interviews in November of 2017 and the positions are open until filled. Selection will be based upon applicant’s background, education and training. Selected applicant must be a member of Washington State Bar and have proof of malpractice insurance before contract signing. The County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. Contract begins February, 2018.
