Asotin County Requests Proposals for Indigent Defense Contracts

Asotin County is currently accepting proposals for defense attorneys for the Indigent Defense contracts for Superior Court which will include representations of felons, child support contemnors, and juvenile cases, including truancy matters. Annual rate will be applicable to caseload, certification level and experience. Compensation will be negotiated on an individual contracts basis.

Any attorney interested in contracting with the County for indigent defense services should request a copy of the Request For Qualifications and send a proposal, a resume and Certification of Appointed Counsel regarding Criminal Rule Standards to the Asotin County Commissioners’ Office, P.O. Box 250, Asotin, WA  99402 or email at bocc@co.asotin.wa.us.  Positions are open until filled.

Selection will be based upon applicant’s background, education, training and work experience. Selected applicants must be members of the Washington State Bar and have proof of malpractice insurance in force before contract signing. The County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
