Title: Contract Attorney on an as-needed basis

Compensation: $150.00 per hour.  Per diem for travel more than 100 miles roundtrip (lodging and meals)

Hours: As arranged upon acceptance of contract assignment: Up to 10 hours per contract

Responsibilities: Defense attorney representing incarcerated individuals who are subject to return to custody on their remaining court-ordered sentences or remaining good conduct time. The attorney will meet with and defend the clients where they are being detained in jail and prison facilities. Additionally, the attorney will determine witnesses and evidence needed or required to defend their client. Upon the conclusion of each assignment, the attorney will complete the appropriate Washington State Invoice and submit it for payment.

Qualifications: Attorneys who are licensed to practice in the State of Washington and in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association.
