Pierce County Department of Assigned Counsel Seeks Social Worker (Limited Duration)

The Department of Assigned Counsel (DAC) seeks a social worker. This is a highly responsible position which that participates in complex case management, crisis intervention, and service referral work for the Department of Assigned Counsel.  An incumbent in this classification works with attorneys to provide advocacy, crisis intervention, case management and referral of services to clients.

Applicant should have at least a master’s degree in Social Work, with major course work in law, social services, human services, behavioral science, or an allied field and 2 years of experience in the provision of social services required. Demonstrated commitment to representation of indigent client population preferred. Additionally, applicant should possess a valid Washington State driver’s license or the ability to otherwise meet the travel requirements of the position is required. Ability to successfully complete all required background investigations.

Salary is $29.51 – $37.33 per hour, DOE. Applications must be submitted by February 12, 2018 at 11:59 pm.
