Seattle Office of Labor Standards Seeks Policy Analysts

The Office of Labor Standards (OLS) seeks to improve workers’ lives through the development and implementation of innovative policies and laws that create a fair and equitable workplace, with a commitment to racial equity and social justice.

The Office of Labor Standards has an opportunity for two strategic, adaptable Policy Analysts to join our highly skilled, innovative policy team in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. These positions will work on projects that further the development and implementation of Seattle’s existing and future labor standards. Our forward-thinking work focuses on policies that advance economic justice, workplace equity, and worker well-being, and centers our City’s most vulnerable workers.  This work may include legislation, administrative rules, fiscal recommendations, and programs subject to review and approval by policy makers.

Job Responsibilities:

The Policy Analyst plays an important role in promoting workplace equity, protecting the rights of low-wage workers, helping employers comply with labor standards, and advancing race and social justice. This position will work in an independent, self-directed manner with collaboration across the OLS team.

Policy Analysts perform extensive policy and legal research, analysis, and writing; conduct stakeholder engagement; create reports, trainings, and outreach materials; provide compliance assistance; apply race and social justice principles to all levels of work.

Salary range is $85,628.88 – $103,481.28 annually.
