Skagit County Public Defender Seeks Staff Attorney

The Skagit County Public Defender seeks Public Defender I. Public Defender attorneys provide effective legal representation to indigent adult and juvenile clients in criminal cases, probation cases, and limited categories of civil cases filed in Skagit County District Court, Juvenile Court, and/or Superior Court. The Public Defender I will defend indigent individuals charged with a crime or other conduct that could result in a loss of liberty. Experience in criminal defense or civil cases handled by the Public Defender is desired, but it is not required.

Compensation is $29.03/hr – $31.11/hr depending upon qualifications. Benefits include health insurance; paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave; retirement plan; group life insurance; and employee assistance program.
