TeamChild Seeks Juvenile Rehabilitation Institutions & Reentry Staff Attorney in Seattle
December 21, 2018 | Mana

TeamChild is seeking a full-time staff attorney based out of our Seattle/King County office for our Juvenile Rehabilitation (JR) Institutions & Reentry Project. Primary job duties focus on providing holistic civil representation to youth and young adults placed in Washington Juvenile Rehabilitation’s three institutions and nine community facilities. Advocacy will focus on the impacts of juvenile court involvement, like legal financial obligations and sex offender registration, and barriers to reentry, like
securing stable housing. The JR Institutions & Reentry Project Staff Attorney will also be responsible for developing community resources with youth at JR, building relationships with JR, and conducting trainings for JR youth and staff on relevant rights, services, and resources. This position involves significant travel in order to meet with clients at JR’s institutions and community facilities.

Salary is based on the TeamChild attorney salary scale and the candidate’s years of relevant experience. Our salary range begins at $48,369 for an attorney with less than 1 year of experience. Attorney salaries increase approximately 3% annually. (For example, the salary range at 5 years of experience is between approximately $54,000 to $56,000 and at 10 years, the range is approximately $64,000 to $66,000.) Position comes with full benefits (including medical, dental, vision, EAP, generous paid time off, long and short term disability, and options to set up FSA and 403b retirement accounts).
