The Administrative Office of the Courts is seeking a Court Program Analyst (Program Coordinator) to coordinate the activities of the Court Interpreter Program. This position is located on the Supreme Court Commissions team within AOC’s Office of Court Innovation.
The Court Interpreter Program oversees the training and testing of certified and registered spoken language interpreters, channels state funding to trial courts for the provision of interpreter services, and provides staffing and support to the Interpreter and Language Access Commission. The Washington AOC has been certifying court interpreters as to their competency and accuracy since 1990.
The Program Coordinator’s role includes: managing the testing and training of credentialed court interpreters, recruitment of interpreters, monitoring the compliance of credentialed court interpreters, working with the Interpreter and Language Access Commission on issues related to court interpreter policy, and collaborating with partners in the language access field to improve language access in the courts.
