The Equity and Justice Team currently has two positions open, the Equity and Justice Lead and the Equity and Justice Specialist. About the position: 

The Equity and Justice Lead (Public Service and Diversity Equity and Inclusion) is part of the Equity and Justice Team, which develops, establishes, implements, and evaluates initiatives, programs and policies that:

• Serve the increasingly diverse members of the public especially those who cannot access justice because of poverty or other forms of marginalization;
• Equip and support WSBA members to serve the public especially those who cannot access justice because of poverty or other forms of marginalization;
• Ensure the legal profession is diverse and inclusive for people applying to join WSBA and members of WSBA; and
• Ensure the WSBA operates in ways that align with its stated values of justice, diversity, inclusion and equity (DEI).

The primary purpose of the Equity and Justice Lead is to serve as the lead on the development and implementation of the WSBA’s pro bono and public service commitment and co-lead on the development and delivery of the WSBA’s diversity, equity and inclusion commitment. This position provides a wide range of leadership and coordination in the areas of outreach and training, consultation, resource development, and communications. The Equity and Justice Lead plays a lead role representing WSBA in diversity, equity and inclusion work.
