Hearing Assistant Administrator (WMS3)

  • Fully remote position
  • $105,000-$110,000 Annually
  • As our Hearings Assistant Administrator, you will lead a team of Hearings Examiners as you manage the administration of driver hearings. Acting as a direct resource and mentor, you will maintain an expert level knowledge of driver licensing statutes, regulations, and case law while ensuring quality and consistent decision making. Your leadership skills will be relied upon as you direct, coach, and train your team while simultaneously facilitating and supporting process improvements. Working closely with our Hearings Administrator, you will assist with the biennial program budget, develop meaningful standards for the program, and recommend and review proposed legislation.




What you will bring:

    • Graduation from an accredited school of law with J.D. degree.
    • Five (5) years of full-time legal experience.
    • Admission in good standing to practice law in Washington State Bar Association.
      • Experience must include:
        1. Two (2) years of experience as a supervisor of attorneys and other legal professionals, including direct human resource management.
        2. Knowledge of current management practices and strategic planning principles and the ability to apply and communicate those principles effectively.
        3. Experience working collaboratively and building rapport between attorneys and legal assistants/paralegals.
        4. Proven ability to promote and foster a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace and work force.
        5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
        6. Ethics and integrity.
        7. Demonstrated team-orientation with excellent management and interpersonal skills, exhibiting the ability to listen, understand, analyze, and respond to stakeholder, customer, management, programmatic, and employee needs.
