The Whatcom County Office of Assigned Counsel is seeking additional qualified attorneys to serve on our conflict panel.

Cases assigned on or after March 24th, 2023 will be paid the following rates:
$95.00 per hour per adult Class A felony file assigned
$1, 428 per adult class B felony file assigned for the first 17 hours, court may authorize $82.50 per hour for additional hours spent.
$1, 155 per adult class C felony file assigned for the first 13 hours, court may authorize $82.50 per hour for additional hours spent.
$550.00 for District Court.
$ 1,000 per juvenile felony file assigned* for first 12 hours and $82.50 for each additional hour.
$ 495.00 per juvenile misdemeanor file assigned for first 6 hours and $82.50 for each additional hour.

Probation violations are paid 1/3 of the case rate.
