WDA is excited to announce that December will be Ethics month, and that we will be moving our Ethics training into a virtual format! Although we are disappointed that we cannot see everyone in person, we still have a great lineup planned; the month’s program consists of 1 live CLE and 4 pre-recorded CLEs, resulting in a total of 6 Ethics credits towards meeting your annual bar requirements. The program kicks off on 12/4 at 12:00 pm with a 2 hour CLE from OPD’s Barbara Harris and Gideon Newmark entitled “Antiracism for Trial Attorneys.” Registration for this webinar is now open, so sign up today by emailing wda@defensenet.org with “Antiracism” as the subject line.
The pre-recorded sessions will be available beginning on 12/4, and will be available for you to complete at any time. The four webinars are:
- Judicial Misconduct 101: Preserving the Record and Finding Recourse for Your Client, presented by Rania Rampersad
- Crime and Consequence- The Impact of Criminal Charges and Conditions on Professional Licensing, presented by Jennifer Serafin
- Autism and Criminal Law, presented by Chris Rebholz
- Communication during a Pandemic- Keeping the Client Informed, presented by Kevin Flannery
The sessions will cover a variety of timely topics, and we hope that you will appreciate the more relaxed pace of the program during such a hectic year.
