Please consider applying to attend OPD’s Criminal Defense Training Academy being held on September 26-27  and October 23-25. Both segments will be conducted in-person this year at Central Washington University. The CDTA is an intensive trial skills training program that focuses on many aspects of trial practice (i.e., client communication, voir dire, opening statements, cross-examination, preserving the record for appeal, etc.) OPD encourages anyone interested to apply, and preference will be given to less experienced public defenders from areas with limited local CLE opportunities.
