Ethics and Your ITA Practice
This two-session CLE will focus on ethical dilemmas in the civil commitment practice with heavy emphasis on applying the Rules of Professional Conduct. The format is lecture and small group exercises.  Attendees will participate in case exercises that will require them to identify the ethical dilemma in the scenario, identify the governing RPC(s) or principle(s), and craft a solution.

Kristin Shotwell has a B.A. in psychology from Yale, and Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Washington and J.D. from the University of Hawaii.  Currently, she practices in Civil Commitments and has been an attorney for eight years.

Zac Franz has a B.A. and Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Washington.  He earned his J.D. from New York University.  Zac also is in Civil Commitments and has been an attorney for eight years.

No RSVP is required. The contexts of these trainings is different and you may attend one or the other or both.
