- Include trial strategies and practice points for contesting dependency fact finding on behalf of incarcerated parents; such as litigating alternative resolutions to dependency, placement of the child, among other things.
- Include trial strategies and practice points for contesting termination trial on behalf of incarcerated parents; such as litigating access to and removing barriers to creating or maintaining the incarcerated parent’s meaningful role in their child’s life, and to engaging in remedial parenting services or other expert services, if applicable.
- Review briefly ethical and practical considerations for advising and counseling incarcerated parents about risks and benefits of litigating court-ordered remedial parenting services, conducting case investigation, and conducting discovery as it relates to defending against termination of child-parent relationship.
