This webinar will talk about systemic racism in the child welfare system and implicit bias. There will be discussion of the disproportionate number of children of color in the child welfare system and how to use social science to advocate for relative placements. Participants will hear from youth who have experienced foster care about the harm of trans-racial placement and the importance of placement with family. Presented in conjunction with the Office of Civil Legal Aid.
