This webinar will address the legislative process in Washington and equip public defenders to make their voices heard during the 2025 legislative session. Attendees will leave this CLE knowing how to identify upcoming legislation and understanding legislative timelines and how to correctly identify which legislators to contact regarding various bills. They will also learn about professional and ethical considerations when sharing personal experiences and appreciation of the special role attorneys play. Finally, the CLE will cover effective strategies for engaging and communicating as constituents. Presented by Lara Zarowsky and Adan Espino.
