This training teaches attorneys to review sexual assault nurse examinations, best practices and the relevance of exam findings. SANE exams and reports can create difficulty in assessing the relevance of certain findings. Practice in performing SANE exams also varies between jurisdictions. In this presentation we will discuss the in and outs of SANE exams, best practices, and other forensic, medical, and legal considerations.

Highlights include review of findings or lack of findings, vaginal injury, best practices, and SANE nurse training and qualifications.
