Effective Interviewing and Cross Examination of Child Alleged Victims
In this session Brad Meryhew will teach defense attorneys the essential aspects of developing legal strategies and theories for representing individuals accused of child sexual abuse. Attorneys will leave having learned the practical skills and strategies to prepare to effectively conduct a defense interview with different age groups of children. Participants will be equipped with a comprehensive understanding of the skills to build trust and rapport with child witnesses, and the developmental considerations in order to better advocate for their clients in sex offense cases involving child witnesses.
