In support of its ongoing commitment to growing diversity in the legal profession, NACDL is happy to announce the application window for the 2024 Diversity Summer Law Fellowship program is now open! This eight-week fellowship provides up to $4,500 in support for selected students to pursue summer internships in criminal defense. 1L and 2L students from historically underrepresented backgrounds attending an ABA-accredited law school are eligible to apply. Applications are due February 26 and decisions will be made by March 15.
Are you a defense lawyer, firm, or public defense agency willing to provide mentorship and support to an aspiring criminal defense lawyer? If so, please consider signing up as a potential Host Organization. Note: signing up as a host does not guarantee that you will receive a Summer Fellow.
