At their meeting in March, the WSBA Board of Governors approved the creation of a Legal Technology Task Force to assess the legal technology landscape and make recommendations that support and strengthen the use of technology in members’ practice, emphasizing effective, efficient, and ethical use of technology that enhances equitable access to justice.
The Task Force seeks members who are interested in serving for the duration of the group’s work (15 months) specifically WSBA members, members in judicial status, and members of the public. The term will begin upon appointment and confirmation, which will be on the agenda for the May 2-3, 2024, meeting of the Board of Governors.
If interested, please email a cover letter and resume to barleaders@wsba.org no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Late submissions may not be considered. Applications will be reviewed by the WSBA president, the chair of the task force, and the co-chairs of the Member Engagement Council. The WSBA president will make the final recommendation subject to approval by the Board of Governors.
