In 2018 the Washington Legislature made significant changes to the imposition and collection of legal financial obligations (LFOs). These changes include elimination of imposition of costs on a defendant who is indigent at the time of sentencing. This Practice Advisory summarized the changes to the imposition and collection of LFOs for individuals with cases in Superior Courts.
